Scream kicked off their fall season against TYA Xplosion. Ella Lee got the scoring started in the second inning with an RBI triple, followed by a Tessa Sarianos single that scored two. Xplosion responded with a run in their half of the inning, but Taylor Wilson, Anna Davidson, and Gennie Aul each had RBI hits in the third to extend the lead to five runs. An inning later, Megan Sparks and Wilson each drove in two more runs, making the score 10-1. Starter Lee pitched 4 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits, striking out 3 hitters, leading the team to victory.

Game two was versus Rock Gold - Holdsworth. Following a scoreless first two innings (aided by an Abby Gray 5-3 double play), Charley LaBarbera drove in two runs with a single up the middle. Sarianos added another RBI one batter later with an infield single. After Lee singled, and Gray and Bella Rosselli walked, Aul came up with the bases loaded in the fourth inning and hit a ground-rule double to plate two more runs. This was followed by Lyla Plummer two-run single, extending the lead to seven runs. Abby Heidrich pitched 4 scoreless innings, surrendering only 1 hit, while striking out 3 batters, ending the game 7-0.

The final game of Sunday’s action was against Rock Gold - Ryan. Rock Gold led 1-0 after three innings, but the offense put up five runs in the fourth to give them the lead for good. Five consecutive singles from Gray, Plummer, Aul, Wilson, and Heidrich plated three of the runs. Following a double steal that allowed Plummer to score, Josa Burris singled to give Scream their fifth run of the inning. Pitcher Davidson (4 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 K) blanked the opposition in the bottom of the fourth to end the game 5-1.

Up Next: Scream heads to Lancaster, PA next weekend to play in the Lancaster Fall Showcase, where they will play in the 18B division.
