4 Players Earn All-Division Honors

Scream Fastpitch 2010 is happy to announce that four of its players have been selected to All-Division teams for their play during their high school softball seasons.

1st Team PAC Frontier All-Division Catcher: Anna Davidson

Davidson followed up on a strong freshman campaign for Phoenixville, finishing with a slash line of .484 AVG / .554 OBP / .828 SLG, including 17 extra-base hits and 21 RBIs over 64 at-bats. Behind the plate, she caught nearly 100 innings and threw out 4 baserunners on 18 stolen base attempts. Phoenixville finished 12-9 (7-6 PAC) en route to a trip to the final 8 of the PIAA District 1 5A tournament.

1st Team PAC Frontier All-Division Shortstop: Lyla Plummer

Plummer burst on to the scene at Phoenixville her freshman year, leading the team in triples (5), home runs (4), and stolen bases (10). Overall, she finished with a .308 batting average in her first season for the Phantoms.

2nd Team PAC Liberty All-Division First Baseman: Taylor Wilson

Wilson seized the opportunity as Boyertown’s (8-11 overall record, 8-5 PAC) everyday first baseman in her sophomore season, leading the team in batting average (.448), on-base percentage (.529), and hits (26), while striking out only two times over 58 at-bats, helping lead the Bears to a PIAA District 1 6A tournament appearance. She was also solid defensively, producing a .976 fielding percentage on 126 total chances — also a team high. Wilson was also selected to represent the PAC in the Carpenter Cup in June with other all-stars from the conference.

Honorable Mention BCIAA All-Division 3 Outfielder: Abby Eckstein

The newest member of the Scream family, Eckstein hit .300 in her second season for the Berks Catholic Saints (5-12 overall record, 4-7 BCIAA) and stole 10 bases. As the Saints primary centerfielder, she went 42/43 on her fielding opportunities, using her speed in the outfield and the base-paths to contribute to her team.
